Homemaking is an art. It is also a skill. One must be clever in order to be a successful homemaker. I wanted to bring health, happiness and well-being to my family.
Random House defines artful as “skillful or clever in adapting means to ends; ingenious.” Or “done with or characterized by art or skill”. There is the other definition which is “slyly crafty or cunning; deceitful; tricky”.
This comes to mind with my favorite character The Artful Dodger. And I admit that as a homemaker there are times I find I must be a bit crafty or underhanded in my attempt to bring health happiness and well-being to my family. (How do you get kids to eat broccoli or husbands to actually complete the honey-do list?)
